The Continuum

Oil on Canvas · 100 × 70 cm · 2026

There are experiences that do not belong to one life alone.
Across time, we find ourselves returning to the same
questions, the same uncertainties, the same moments of
courage, loss, discovery, and change. What feels deeply
personal to us is, in many ways, universal. What we
experience has been lived before, in different places, by
different people, under different skies.
Yet what makes the journey ours is how we choose to move
through it.
We may encounter the same phases, but we do not make the
same choices. Each decision, each response, each step we
take gives our experience its own meaning. The path may
be familiar, but the way we walk it belongs to us.
Memory of the World speaks to this continuity.
What we experience becomes part of something larger than
ourselves. The moments we live are added to an everunfolding- human story a story that began long before us
and will continue long after we are gone.
We move through these states again and again. We may
encounter them differently, but their essence remains
familiar. Those who came before us knew them. We know
them now. Those who follow will know them too.
Perhaps this is what connects us across time: not that we
live the same lives, but that we pass through the same
human experiences, each shaping them through the choices
we make.
Nothing truly begins with us, and nothing truly ends with
us.
This is the continuum: the recognition that the journey is
not ours alone. It is part of something that has always been
moving, and will continue long after we have passed
through it.
