There are moments when holding on becomes heavier than
letting go.
We carry our expectations, our questions, our plans, and the
desire to know how everything will unfold. We try to shape the
outcome, to hold the pieces together, to remain in control of
what was never entirely ours to control.
Surrender is the moment we release that weight.
It is not defeat, nor is it the absence of strength. It is the
understanding that some things cannot be forced into
becoming what we want them to be.
To surrender is to loosen our grip and allow life to move
without constantly asking it to follow our design.
In that release, something changes. The struggle softens. The
need to control gives way to acceptance, and we become able
to receive what comes without resisting what we cannot
change.
Surrender is not giving up.
It is choosing to stop fighting what is, and finding peace in
allowing it to unfold.
